OUR GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS AND AGENTS

A Note About AI: Stories that have been written with the assistance of AI will not be considered.

TYPES OF MANUSCRIPTS As an independent book publisher, we consider manuscripts for picture books, chapter books, and middle-grade novels.

SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING Kindly submit the following to margieblumberg@mbpublishing.com and write "Submission" on the subject line:

  • Picture books, chapter books, and middle-grade novels: Please submit your entire manuscript.

  • A description of the book: Provide one or two paragraphs explaining the premise of your book.

  • Biography: Provide a brief author biography.

  • A list of similar books: Please include the publisher, the author(s), and the publication date for each title. Briefly explain how your manuscript is similar to and different from these other titles.

    We look forward to reading your work!

NOTE: If we are interested in discussing publication, we will be in touch with you within two to four weeks from the date that we receive your submission.
