

Leora Frankel
Leora Frankel grew up bilingual in Hebrew and English in Jerusalem. As a translator and interpreter at the New York Times bureau in Jerusalem, she honed these skills.
Leora has translated for major Israeli universities. As a journalist, she has published in Discover magazine, the New York Times, and the Israeli daily Haaretz. She has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Brown University and holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder. Leora was drawn to translate Escape in Time from her first reading of it: “I have always been fascinated by the idea of ‘hiding in plain sight,’ which is at the core of this story.” She lives in Boulder, Colorado, with her family.
